EXCLUSIVE: Dutch sales agent snags box office winning Mummy
Dutch sales agent SKOOP Media Global Entertainment has snagged this fall’s surprise hit family film: Dummie The Mummy by director Pim Van Hoeve.
Opening on October 9th, the film drew, in a single week of only matinee screenings, over 100.000 people to cinemas throughout the Netherlands. The film further trounced the Dutch opening weekends of international hits The Maze Runner and Fury, leaving them trailing in the dust.
Starring upcoming young sensation Julian Ras as Gus, who discovers a live mummy in his bedroom! Soon the two become fast friends and Dummie the mummy, once a young Egyptian prince, joins him at school, posing as his nephew from Egypt, covered in bandages. Gus has to do what he can to make sure the impetuous mummy isn’t discovered.
Dummie the Mummy is a coproduction between PVPictures and Nickelodeon and was awarded a Golden Film by the Dutch Film Festival.
Sales agent SKOOP Media will be screening the film during the upcoming American Film Market in Santa Monica, LA.
