A variety of films from the Netherlands-based sales agent SKOOP Media Global Entertainment will be available to Netflix members around the world, including the award winning fiction feature YOU CARRY ME, the official Montenegrin entry for the 88th Academy Awards, and SUICIDE, the first action thriller set in Jerusalem, Israel, which will be available to stream beginning May 15. Additional titles that are included in the deal and will be available at a later date are the Dutch box office hits BON BINI HOLLAND and A NOBLE INTENTION (Publieke Werken).

Pim van Collem, CEO of SKOOP Media: “The deal that we have contracted with Netflix is the most significant SVOD contract for SKOOP Media since its foundation in 2012. We are delighted to see a global platform and major player like Netflix simultaneously commit to multiple movies, which confirms the global potential and high quality of our rapidly expanding slate. The exposure these movies will gain on the Netflix service is also a significant landmark for Dutch cinema, since all four licensed films will be made available to millions of subscribers all around the world.”

At the 2016 Marché du Film, SKOOP Media is presenting a slate of new titles featuring the acclaimed and successful theatrical movie IN MY FATHER’S GARDEN, a tragic love story based on the most successful post-WWII Dutch novel Knielen op een bed violen, starring award- winning actor Barry Atsma as the lead character, and the European co-production A NOBLE INTENTION (Publieke Werken), which just finished a successful theatrical run in the Benelux countries, in addition to a raft of completed European films and new titles in pre-production. SKOOP Media CEO Pim van Collem and his sales team will attend the market during the Festival de Cannes from May 11th until May 19th.
